What is the Environment-Cancer Chair?
Created in 2007, the Guzzo Environment-Cancer Research Chair of the Université de Montréal is the first project undertaken by the Environment-Cancer Fund with the objective of gathering maximum scientific evidence to help explain the causes of cancer. The research potential is wide-ranging since it includes many types of cancer and untold numbers of agents to which human beings are exposed during their lifetime.
The Guzzo Environment-Cancer Research Chair combines:
- The expertise and knowledge of a team of researchers headed by Dr. Jack Siemiatycki, a world-renowned researcher;
- The experience and know-how of the Université de Montréal. This year's 2014 7th Annual Notte in Bianco will be benefitting The Guzzo Environment-Cancer Research Chair of Université de Montréal, The Jewish General Hospital and the Montreal Children's Hospital.;
- The Guzzo family's generosity and commitment to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
