GUZZO...a name, a family, a business. Dedicated to the fight against cancer

Cinémas Guzzo's investment in the creation of the Environment-Cancer Research Chair represents tangible proof of the Guzzo family's commitment to support the well-being of the community. On September 10, 2009, Mr. and Mrs. Guzzo will hold the second annual Notte In Bianco, which represents a unique benefit whose proceeds will be donated exclusively and directly to support cancer research.

"At the Foundation, we support projects that can make a difference in the lives of people and families. We are confident that by investing in environment-cancer research we will give hope to all those united in the fight against cancer and who actively support means to prevent this terrible disease. In addition, as a mother, I know that breakthroughs in cancer prevention will enable future generations - our children - to live in a world where cancer will no longer be something that is feared."

- Maria Guzzo, President, Cinémas Guzzo Foundation

"My father and mother have won their battle over cancer. This personal experience was a source of motivation that drove us to join in the fight against cancer. However, despite all the research conducted on this disease, there are still too many people and families who suffer from the devastating impact of cancer. Although it is important to improve treatment, it is crucial to find the causes of cancer. By showing solidarity, we are convinced that we will be able to better understand the causes of cancer and provide a more promising future for coming generations. This is why our name and business are fully behind this research chair."

- Vincenzo Guzzo, Executive Vice-President & COO, Cinémas Guzzo
